Bleeding gums are not a “brush harder” problem

Gingivitis is inflammation. Periodontitis involves the bone under the gum.

A regular cleaning does not reach tartar under the gum. That is scaling and root planing (deep cleaning), usually by quadrant.

Healthy gum is the floor. Do not rush a crown, an implant, or a denture onto an infection.

Ask in consult

Gingivitis or periodontitis — how many quadrants?
Local anesthetic, antibiotic, or other adjuncts — which apply here?
One visit or two, and when is the mouth ready for crowns / implants / a denture?
Who checks the gums once you are back in Arizona or California?
